Configure Manage Ad Link Editing in Facebook

What is the Manage Link Editing used for?

Anyone with a Facebook Page can create an ad that includes a link to your store's website domain. By default, the person creating the ad can edit the descriptive content associated with the link, such as the title, description, or image. Facebook calls this link editing.

Many people use link editing to add helpful context to their Facebook ads. But it can also be used with bad intent. For instance, a link could be edited in a way that misrepresents your content, resulting in damage to your brand and the spreading of misinformation. By managing ad link editing, you can help protect your content and your brand. It can also help to reduce incidents of misinformation on Facebook.

Why do I need to do this?

Brands that you sell products for have the ability on the Lybnkem platform to post ads from their Facebook account and include a link to your website domain. The goal of the ad is often to drive traffic to your store. That's a fantastic thing because they're providing free advertising on your behalf!

How to set up Link Editing

NOTE: This step is only necessary if you have already verified your domain in Facebook.  See help info.

When a Brand requests your permission to do so, you can allow your website domain to be included in their ads by adding them to the allow/deny list as shown below.

Steps to allow/deny link editing:

1) Sign in to your Facebook business manager account.

2) Use the menu square icon in the top left corner and navigate to the "Business Settings" page.

3) On the left-hand side of the screen click the dropdown arrow next to the "Brand Safety" menu item and select "Domains".

4) Select your domain and click the "Domain Access" tab. Select the far right option "Allow only specific advertisers to edit ad links". Use the search bar to search for the brand's Facebook page you would like to give access to. Click save and you are done!
